From catering to a guesthouse

A new space for creative expression

Eleven years ago, we opened Mangez Moi in Bois-Plage-en-Ré, with a simple idea: to share our passion for flavour, fresh produce and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Today, we’re turning a new page with the creation of our guest house, a natural extension of our love for good food and art.

Nestled in the heart of Bois-Plage-en-Ré, our guesthouse welcomes those who wish to take the time to experience the Île de Ré in a different light. Here, you’ll find the Mangez Moi spirit – genuine care, indulgent homemade breakfasts, and that special bond that turns a stay into a memory – but also a vibrant place where art plays a central role.

Our vocation

The art of living and (re)discovering one’s senses

De l’Art et des Vivres is not just a guesthouse. It is a living space where the art of living is shared and experienced every day.

Our aim is to bring art and gastronomy together in everyday life, to offer you a stay that nourishes the mind as much as the body. We have created a space where rest is enriched by discovery, learning and creativity.

Receiving you at home

A thousand ways to be welcomed, tailored to your preferences and the nature of your stay. Bed and breakfast accommodation, home-cooked meals, art and cookery workshops, or exclusive use of the venue: each option embodies the same vision of hospitality – warm, attentive and bespoke.

Véronique Chauvet

Having trained in applied arts at the École Duperré, she worked in fashion, set design and design before developing a second area of expertise in gastronomy on the Île de Ré. As co-founder of Mangez Moi, she now combines cooking and artistic creation through a socially conscious approach, in which recycling, art and gastronomy come together in projects for living spaces, historic monuments and museums.

Lionel Kemmoun

His career began at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris, where he gained experience in contemporary art and the transport of artworks. He then moved to the Île de Ré, where he turned his attention to cooking and trained in various restaurants. As co-founder of Mangez Moi alongside Véronique, he was already responsible for the meticulous sourcing of produce and cultivated the art of bringing people together. Today, he puts this culinary and interpersonal expertise to good use within the company, overseeing the catering operations and maintaining links with producers.

Our values and commitments

We believe in a form of luxury that is rooted in meaning and authenticity, and in sharing, far removed from the superfluous.

Authenticity

We believe in authentic experiences: unprocessed produce, time-honoured recipes, and chance encounters. Nothing contrived, nothing artificial. Just the joy of sharing, in a warm and genuine atmosphere.

Environment

We take an environmentally friendly approach, promoting recycling and fostering direct links with those who grow and create.

Bespoke service
