A committed, local and seasonal cuisine, inspired by the harvests of local producers and wild foraging on the Île de Ré. Simple, generous and colourful dishes that follow the rhythm of the seasons and reflect the local area. A selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks is available throughout the day. We pay particular attention to different dietary requirements and preferences, so that everyone can enjoy this dining experience in a friendly atmosphere.
The table
Breakfast
De l’Art et des Vivres offers a cooked breakfast that is a true culinary experience, changing with the days and the seasons. Every morning, a different selection of dishes is on offer.
Alongside this cooked breakfast, a selection of carefully chosen products completes the spread: organic sourdough bread, homemade granola, fresh fruit and vegetable juices, and teas and coffees from a local roaster.
A simple and generous way to start the day, taking the time to savour every moment.
The table d’hôtes
Three evenings a week, the house offers a convivial table d’hôtes featuring a single set menu, created to reflect the changing seasons using local produce.
The cuisine is simple, expressive and generous, served at the communal table or al fresco when the weather permits. Dinner then becomes a time for sharing, where guests come together to enjoy authentic flavours in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
A seafood-flavoured aperitif
This seafood-themed aperitif celebrates the island’s flavours with oysters from the Île de Ré, accompanied by a homemade cocktail and a selection of delicacies to share.
Each guest enjoys nine oysters served with bread, butter, shallot vinegar and a house-made verrine, prepared according to the chef’s inspiration of the moment. The homemade cocktail is included, whilst a glass or bottle of white wine can be ordered at an additional cost. Whether you’re sitting in the garden or on the terrace, it’s the perfect time to wind down, enjoy each other’s company and make the most of the balmy island evenings.
